There are so many dog foods out there and it is quite confusing to the consumer.  Most dog foods claim to be healthy and balanced but they are not created equally.  There are healthy all natural dry dog foods available on the market.  A few of these diets are listed in the left hand column.    Raw diet is also an option.  Raw meaty bones give your dog variety, help their teeth stay cleaner, and provides a fresh alternative to kibble.  I choose to feed a combination of dry dog food and raw meaty bones.  Other beardie owners choose to feed all kibble or all raw.   There is also a fresh cooked food available that I use for training treats but is also an excellent add in for your dog's diet.  I haven't met a dog who doesn't like it.  See link at left (FreshPet Select).  I rotate the formulas that work well for my dogs so they are used to eating different proteins.  I do not feed any kibble that contains corn, wheat, or barley.  I prefer to feed small amounts of rice, oats, and potatoes.

Training Treats!

I am a big fan of

PLATO

They make a variety of treats in different forms.  My favorite to use for training is the Farmer's Market Chicken & Vegetable Treats because they break apart easily, don't crumble, and the dogs love them.  These treats also are available in Salmon and Duck.
