We acquired our first Bearded Collie in 1991 from Jane O'Leary in Chesapeake, VA. Five Oaks Montgomery Lee, better known as "Monty" was a wonderful pet and friend to our young children. He died at age 10 leaving us with an unbearable emptiness. The day after Monty died, I found the website for Moonstone Bearded Collies. Breeder, Sandy McDonald had recently whelped a litter and we began dialoging about a new puppy for our family. Sprite, Moonstone Kindred Spirit RN MX MXJ NF joined us in June of 2001. Sandy introduced us to agility which opened us up to the world of dog performance and competition. Celia, CH Britannia Never Look Back RA NA NAJ NF joined us a year and a half later. Michele Ritter helped us get started in conformation and has been a great souce of support and information since then. Celia was bred in 2007 and in 2008. From her first litter, we kept a lovely athletic fawn girl - Vickie, CH Britannia Runaway Angel RE OA OAJ NF VX. From her second litter, we kept a brown boy with terrific conformation and temperament. Calum, Odyssey One Step Beyond RN is currently working towards his CH, advanced Rally titles and and training for agility. We relocated to Louisa County, VA in 2008 where the dogs (and humans) have lots of space for exercise and training. We are looking forward to breeding Vickie in the Fall of 2010.
