Beardies need humane consistent training.  Positive methods such as crate training and clicker training are recommended. 

Harsh methods or correction collars can make a Bearded Collie nervous and fearful.  They can lose their joyful disposition that makes them so  appealing.

 Clicker training marks the behaviors that you want your dog to repeat.  Your dog learns that a reward will follow the sound of the clicker.
